DUIBlock.com Website
Frequently Asked Questions
Please visit the Laws, Rights, or Homepage for more information on DUI Checkpoints.
This area is specifically to answer questions about our service, but our
website
does provide valuable information about DUI Checkpoints, and DUI
charges.
What exactly does this service provide?
DUIBlock.com will notify you of Local Sobriety Checkpoint Alerts
and Locations (DUI
Checkpoints/Roadblocks) to your Email Account
and on your cell phone via Text Messages.
How much does the service cost?
Subscriptions
start as low as $2.99 a month,
which is a whole lot less than a DUI!
DUIBlock.com offers several different Service Plans,
so one is right for you!
This is the bargain of a lifetime when
compared to the alternative:
You can expect to spend somewhere around $10,000 for a DUI!
The challenge of hitching a ride to and from work every day for a year. The lifetime of shame that would be associated with a being part of a DUI
fatality. Damaging your vehicle in a single-car accident, even if no one else is involved
My Service Plan is about
to expire. How do I extend it?
Renewing your Service Plan is very easy... Just login using the form on the left
of the site. You may
choose any plan you wish and your Expiration Date will be extended that amount.
If you choose a recurring payment then your service will run until you cancel
your subscription and there is no need to renew.
How often will I receive Messages
containing
DUI Checkpoint Alerts and Locations?
On average you should receive a message with Checkpoint
Alerts (and Locations if known) approximately
every few weeks. Sometimes you may receive more than one per week, and
others not get a notification for two months. It all really depends on when the Police
Departments are performing Sobriety Checkpoints in your area. Typically you can expect more checkpoints
(and therefore more Text Messages) during the summer months
than the winter, and more during major holidays.
So are you saying to go ahead and drink and then try to
avoid the checkpoints?
Absolutely not. Drinking anything at all and driving (DUI) is dangerous
for many reasons. It is always safest to have a designated driver or to take a
cab. Please... Leave the roads for the sober people!
Police Departments recognize the value of this as well. It turns out that many
DUI Checkpoints nab relatively few law breakers. Primarily, a DUI
Checkpoint
serves as a reminder to sober and drunk people that it’s dangerous to drink
and drive.
Our intent is to alert you of the dangers of drinking and driving in a timely
manner so you can make the smart decision to leave your car out of the equation.
How do you collect all of this information on DUI
Checkpoint Locations?
The police departments are required by law to alert the public about DUI
Checkpoint Locations – but they are not required to make it easy to find. In fact
the information is very time consuming to collect. We generally must make calls
and contact with every relevant city and county law enforcement agency in order
to provide you with the service of DUI Checkpoint Alerts..
What does MADD think about all of this?
Although we do not know how MADD feels about us personally,
MADD believes prior notification of DUI Checkpoints is a positive thing.
DUI Checkpoint Alerts, we feel, falls under this category. Their
position is that when a person is notified of a checkpoint they think twice
about getting in the car and driving. MADD knows that we cannot control a
person’s decision but we can influence it with knowledge and education. Our
system will make more people think twice before getting behind the wheel after
drinking. For additional information on MADD go to www.madd.com

from the DUI Checkpoint Alerts and Locations?

soon as possible. |
